Arthur is a 4 year old lionhead, lop rabbit. He was brought into a local veterinary clinic due with a severe eye infection. His family surrendered him to the veterinary clinic - and they called us for assistance. When Arthur arrived at Merrymac Farm Sanctuary in September 2024, it was clear he was in very poor health. His eye was infected with a growing tumor and he was having major digestive concerns. We needed to restore Arthur’s health before he would be able to undergo surgery and worked with him for 6 months to (1) give him a healthy and nutritious diet with vegetables, hay, rabbit food, fruit (2) daily probiotics and milk thistle to get his digestive system working properly (3) bathing him when his little bum needs it (4) daily flushing and treatment of his eye. It was also essential that he be neutered. We drove him to Massachusetts for specialty surgery Mid-March and our very sweet boy is on the mend. We look forward to seeing him thrive!
