George and Charlie were originally BLM donkeys who came to MMFS through our friends at Rising Star Horse Rescue in CT. They have been with us since 2022 and are slowly learning to trust humans.

Billy was originally a BLM donkey. When his owner passed away, he found himself at Mustang Valley Sanctuary. They knew he needed to find other donkey companions, and thanks to the networking that goes on between sanctuaries, and our friends at Rising Star Rescue, Billy joined us at MMFS in November 2025. Nicholas (pictured right) came to MMFS in 2025 with his bonded partner Josie after a life at a petting zoo. Nicholas is over 30 and enjoys mash meals throughout the day and the attention of our staff and volunteers. Josie (pictured left) passed in July 2026. Cecilia, another senior mini, joined us from SYALER in August 2026 and we hope they will live a happy, healthy life together.
