George and Charlie were originally BLM donkeys who came to MMFS through our friends at Rising Star Horse Rescue in CT. They have been with us since 2022 and are slowly learning to trust humans.

Joies and Nicholas came to MMFS in 2025 after a life at a petting zoo. They are over 30 and needed a sanctuary setting and a lot of special care to live out their days. Nicholas and Josie enjoy mash prepared meals throughout the day and the attention of our staff and volunteers. 

Billy was originally a BLM donkey. When his owner passed away, he found himself at Mustang Valley Sanctuary. They knew he needed to find other donkey companions, and thanks to the networking that goes on between sanctuaries, and our friends at Rising Star Rescue, Billy joined us at MMFS in November 2025.
