Emory came to MMFS as a very sickly day-old chick. After a rough start, he grew into a beautiful big boy who loves everyone. He struggles from conditions associated with overbreeding for rapid growth. Emory is on a special diet and spends time in our air conditioned and heated special needs room.

Frankie came to us as a day-old chick from a local feed store. She’s curious, social, and loves to be involved in all things at the sanctuary. Frankie has big opinions about how things should go around the farm and enjoys time in her nesting area where she protects her eggs and dares you to remove them! Learn more

Jerry came to us from Kinder Way Sanctuary. He found his home with the MMFS ducks –and we have a theory that Jerry might even think he IS a duck. He eats with the ducks, sleeps with the ducks, and is part of the flock. He’s like a big brother, especially to the young ducks. Learn more

Beautiful Gracie joined us after a concerned citizen reached out to MMFS stating a neighbor's birds had moved onto his property. Unfortunately by the time he could get everyone in a safe place, all of the birds had been killed except her. Gracie has a very sweet disposition and is quiet and observant. Learn More

Bert, Ernie, and Igor are bronze turkeys with beautiful iridescent feathers. They came to us from a local feed store. Bert and Ernie are healthy, curious boys with large personalities. They greet most people at the Sanctuary. Learn more

Ernie and Bert and have been together since birth. They patrol the grounds as a team to make sure everything is in order. They’re still on the younger side, so we’re hoping they stay loving each other and everyone else. Learn more

Igor is a very special turkey - he is blind. As a tiny chick, he had eye abscesses in both eyes that although treated aggressively, caused a loss of vision. Igor lives in our special needs room with duck, chicken and bunny friends. He will always have sight challenges, but he does quite well at MMFS. He is one loved turkey!  Learn more

Yvonne (aka Peewee) came to us as a baby after surviving a cat attack. She needed extra TLC and has grown into a beautiful and independent girl. She spends her days near Bert and Ernie or keeping watch from her favorite perches.
